25 Double Unders Post Rounds to Comments
This WoD is dedicated to all the athletes of the 2012 Olympic games that do NOT have big names. Dedicating your life to the Olympics is an intensely time consuming effort. For many of these athletes, it takes sacrifice beyond eating well and giving up nights out. The financial burden is huge. Gia Lewis-Smallwood is a discus thrower from Champaign, Illinois. Despite posting top throws across the U.S. for the last 2 years, she had no major sponsors or financial aid until she qualified for London 2012.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen done at the box?
I’m new at the gables box, however once at another box I split my chin with a kettle ball doing kettle ball high pulls. The chin busting wasn’t crazy, but the look the trainer game me as I was bleeding on myself was pretty crazy. Seeing my lady do cross fit at 6:30 am was also crazy.
They usually involve Jess. I saw her flip around on this rings and do handstand push ups suspended in the air in that position. Can’t imagine anyone has anything crazier!
6 plus 3
135 lbs
With DUBS
I agree I have seen Jess do some crazy Handstands.
GAL and his crew just do crazy things all the time.
Good girl!
Yes. I have seen Gal with a gain around his neck like a runaway prisoner.
Someone doing box jumps with something like 6 or 7 45 pound plates…
8 rounds today. Haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary, us 5:30 folk are still sleepy to do anything even remotely crazy
6 rounds
Craziest thing has to be people working out with a concrete ball.
6 rds 2 reps RX
A small sampling of we can now hashtag #CFGCrayCray
- Gal and his ninja bar skills
- Brad’s Blog Burpee Penatly
- HRH Carlos smoking cigs pre and post WOD (not anymore but that shit still boggles my mind)
- HRH Carlos ACTUALLY quitting smoking
- Anna Tunnicliffe. <3
- The CFG Gay bullies (who would've ever thought?)
- This little box doing amazing things all day everyday.
- CWG II inspiring CFG Friday Night Lights
- Rob S's farewell WOD
- Rob S's welcome home goatee

The craziest thing I’ve seen happened this AM when Brad made us do a 1 mile warm up run.
Agreed Lonny. That was bananas
6.5 rounds at 225 and dubs
QOD: me throwing up and continuing to WOD during my first month of crossfit
5 rds + 4DL @245 lbs.
4 Rounds.
Craziest thing I did at the Box was thinking I was a back-up dancer for Beyonce while doing box jumps. End up being an EPIC FAIL.
hahaha this made me laugh out loud
Guys. I regret to report that Anna and her crew were eliminated today in the quarterfinals. She placed 4th overall in the round robin round, but apparently came up on a Finnish crew that was peaking at the right time. I think it goes without saying that I and we all are very, very proud of her. After already winning a gold medal individually, four national championships in college, and an innumerable number of other wins, distinctions, and awards, she took on a completely new challenge in the 3 crew Elliot 6m and went all the way to London. I can’t emphasize enough how much respect I have for her competitiveness, ability, work ethic, and accomplishments.
Anna, I think I speak for all of us when I say we are so very proud of you and are blessed and privileged to count you as part of our family at CFG.
4 rounds – much harder than it sounded! The one mile run didn’t help
Craziest as in major suck/pain factor would be the Ish gas mask WOD followed by watching Rob Silver do the following:
4 rounds of
15 or 20 (can’t remember which) back squats at 225lbs
25m prowler push at 225lbs
One of the few times I’ve seen him in pain. I believe his ass almost fell off….
Well said Emilio! I know you read the blog Anna, and I just want to say again as I’ve said to you many times I am in awe of you and all you have accomplished. You are a source of inspiration to me on a daily basis. I love training with you and look forward to a great year of Crossfit as we work to get to the games
6 Rounds + 5 Deadlifts @ 145 lbs
Brad – Thanks for that great mile run!
5 1/2 rounds, 135lbs.
Probably Jess doing something gravity-defying on the rings!
5 rounds today RX. The craziest thing i have done/ seen others be forced to do is 500m burpee long jumps. The most ridiculous thing i have heard is the possibility of having to do it for a mile! 2 parking tickets in one week adds to another crazy thing, and oh the rings push ups i saw once were crazy as well
I haven’t seen anything extremely out of the ordinary crazy yet.
Walking in on Kevin using the urinal(thankfully he’s not one of those guys that pulls his shorts down to his ankles)…Stacey walking across the box on her hands (Way to go)…Brad taking care of Lucas (so I could get a sweat-on).
5 1/2 rounds
5-1/2 rounds @ #275.
Craziest thing has to be seeing Jesus Christ play dodgeball!
Lol
I thought I saw Sergio doing handstands and/or handstand pushups on the rings one time after the 8 pm class.
That gal is one crazy S.O.B. One time at band camp I saw Gal….
Im sorry I missed my 6:30 group…I thought I was appropriate to go to work at 5:00 am because I don’t sleep anymore.
QOD: when two people are sleeping together and act like total strangers….sh*% cray! And no I’m not talking about Emilio and Leanne…
your post WOD oreo blizzards #CFGCrayCray
3 + 3 rds RX.
Craziest thing I’ve ever seen was at CWG 2, the guy for IAM who feel off the bar and landed on his head virtually knocking himself unconscious and then getting up and finishing the WOD as everyone cheered.
Super Steve doing an effortless 3 minutes of unbroken double unders during CWG I.
8 rounds of 145LBS/50 singles + 15 DUs
CraZiest for me is probably weighted (with a 45 plate tied to the waist and the plate hanging) toes to bar. Then going ape shit and soon like 50 unbroken
4 rounds +3 deadlifts @ 135 singles and some dubs
6 rounds, 2 DL @ 135 but no DUBs
Craziest thing done at the box? Rob’s Friday surprise WOD right before he left… HELEN, DIANE & ELIZABETH one right after the other! Yea Rob I won’t forget that one!!
Couldn’t make it to cf today, so I brought the wod home. Did 5 (or 6, lost count) rounds at 225. Had trouble with DU’s so i decided to stick with 75singles each round.
Wish I could have made it to CFG today but glad I was able to at least wod at home!!
Jeanette… not too worry im not bashful!
WOD- 5 rds, dubs sucked at first then rolled, 255 deadlift was tough.
Crazy moment.. I kind of enjoyed the Fatima/Brad throwdown a few months ago.
6rds +5 @ 80lbs
QOD: F*ran (3 mile run/WOD)…but it was “out” of the box and not in it.
6 rounds at 115lbs
Craziest thing: watching my little brother do a box jump with 9 plates on the box… Not trying to make his head any bigger than it already is but it was awesome!
Haha ditto on Katie’s comment only cuz I was just shown the video!! Crazyy
